Going to look at this 57 Gleaner A tomorrow. Guy said was rebuilt in 78 and had every bearing replaced. Been shedded its whole life. Wants $500 for it.

Not often do you find that age of machine still in the shed, she really looks good, and price is really right, sounds like they want it to go to a good home likes yours, keep us posted.
Great pictures too

Went and looked at it today. Must say she is a beauty. Struck a deal (i didnt even haggle) and now have to find a way to get her home as my trailer wont fit.

She ran like a champ too. Engine sounded awesome and not a thing was amiss on the whole machine. I feel like i hit the jackpot today!

Can ya road a combine 81 miles?

Glad to hear you got it. The A Gleaner will always be the dearest to me. I doubt there has ever been a simpler more practical and durable combine built.

Will it go 10 mph? I recently roaded a JD 105 45 miles at 10 mph. Enjoyed my first trip driving it home.

Great find and well worth the money..I have a 1957 A Gleaner
that I won on ebay for a very reasonable price in 2008...It
came from Central Kansas.
