F2 Gleaner feeder beater

OK, my newest question has to do with the feeder beater. There seems to be a lot of slop in the cam. What does it take to rebuild it? Parts book shows a plastic bushing that I assume needs to be replaced. Do you have to pull the feeder beater to do it?

I did my F2 back in the 90s.....easy to remove the FB....maybe three bolts on each side. You can remove all internal parts by working through the two access panels on the FB. Expect some skinned knuckles- LOL. Every finger cast housing has a plastic bushing. IIRC, $100-150 for the set, maybe 13 or so bushings? When I did mine, I had dents from rocks, in the FB. I ground out the welds on one side panel, set a hyd jack inside, and pushed out all the dents. Then welded the end cookie back in place. Looked like new, put in the new gray plastic bushings, good for another couple decades.
