Fox 6660 Forage Harvester

Has anyone here ever seen one, or used one? I cannot find anything on them, except a few pictures. Fox went out of business in 1986, and I believe that they were the last model SP that they built. I have no idea how many, or what powered them. Although I almost assume it was either a 6V or 8V Detroit.

I am interested in anything anyone would care to share about them. They were built about 30 miles south of here, in Appleton, WI. There is a "Fox Fest" in Marion WI, every year. I have yet to make it to one! I myself have a Super D 4-71 hydro with 4WD.

P.S. If anyone is looking for a Fox 6350, with 4 wheel drive, there is one for sale @ Weyers Implement, in Kaukauna, WI. At least it was last week.

hi, the fox 6660 was one the largest spf that fox made. it was powerd by a 6v92 tt detroit diesel. it was rated around 350 hp. It was quite advanced in its day. it had auto adjusting shear bar, and out sharping knives. i have only seen one of them in the states. it was for sale but priced way to high for me. hope this helps Rob

That is one pretty looking machine......would love to know where I can find one. I've got a MaxxII rear wheel assist hydro that I just love to drive.
