MF 540 replacing grain front pan

I am getting my dads 540 out of storage to use this year. Last time he ran it the front grain pan went out of it. He did a temporary repair with plywood to finish the season.

Question is, does the feeder housing need to come off to change out the front grain pan?

I see Shoup has the panels listed reasonably, any reason to pay extra for the AGCO parts?

Never did a 540, but i know on a 510 you can get it out with the feeder house on.
