I would have loved to have been part of that. I didn't know there were that many mounted pickers out there. I've got ear corn later around end of October to pick with my IH 1PR. Hopefully the mud won't be too deep for my M. I've got corn about 12' tall so hopefully its still standing then.

I talked to persons in charge of the corn pickers and was told 2009 had 80 corn pickers there and 2011 had 125-130 as of Friday noon. Might just be too many for everyone to pick corn?

Thank you for posting the pictures! Gets the blood going for picking ear corn this fall! I am planning on putting on the NI 319 later in Sept and pick a little corn.

That is Dave Cobler on the GP pulling the John Deere No. 10 corn picker and his brother Chris Cobler on his Waterloo Boy tractor. Both units will be in operation at Antique Harvest Days near Ottumwa, IA on October 15 and 16. I will be posting details of the show as the date gets closer. There will also be other corn pickers in operation, beans being combined by self propelled and pull type combines and antique grain handling including a John Deere inside cup elevator. Participation is encouraged. Mike
