Ford Combine

I am looking for a pull behind Ford Combine. Does anyone know where one might be?

Thanks. I did see that one and tried to buy it on the auction, but I had to figure transport cost from WI to NC and had to stop bidding...lol

I think the Ford pulltype is the rarest combine made. I know of one that is or was in a combine used parts yard, & the one that recently was auctioned. I am 40 years old, & have been to a dozen tractor & harvesting shows, Several State Fairs, over 3 dozen county fairs in the last 10 years, & many more before that. I have never seen a working, or usable pulltype Ford in my life. Most people like tractors; But my fixation is the pulltype harvestors. Corn pickers, shellers, combines, & the like. There has to be some out there, & if You know where they were made that may be the place to look the hardest.

Serial #'s Range from #1 - #1307. Years 1956 - 62. IH sold 2 1/2 times more 82's from 1966 - 1974; when pulltype sales all but died! According to my records the Model 607 was the only compact pulltype Ford made, & it was actually a Woods Brothers! Ford bought them in 1957, & the early versions said Woods brothers until sometime in 57 they dropped the name all together in favor of the Ford Logo. If You find another one; Then I wouldnt worry about shipping. Just buy it because it might be 20 years before you see another one.

Dad has one sitting out back. It would take some work to make it useable again. Dad would probably sell cheaper to someone who would use it. However we are located in Minnesota so transporting would be expensive.

Thanks! I agree that having it transported would be expensive. I would really like to find one that is in or near working condition because I have never used a Ford combine.
