I'm looking at buying one to use. It would be the perfect size for me. Any advice before I buy. It has a 13' bean head and 2 row corn head.

You will certainly get a lot of opinions on here and I can't give specifics, but here you go. I looked at one and almost purchased it before I purchased by MF300. In my mind, the MF 300 and JD3300 are close to each other in size and capabilities - and the JD3300 is probably a newer and better machine. Both came in gas or diesel. Because I farm a very small amount, gas vs. diesel didn't make much of a difference. Look for rusted out areas - look at condition of belts - they can be expensive. After looking for some time, my goal was to find an older - field ready machine that I could start and go - I didn't quite get that but was close - Seems like quite a few 3300's for sale these days - so finding corn heads and grain tables for replacement should be fairly easy - make sure cornhead is not locked up and spins freely - make sure to get all of the extra parts for swapping the grain and corn, i.e. weights, screens; etc. Good Luck

OK thanks. Been renting the land out but I'm going to start farming it myself. The most I'll have to combine is about 40 acres a year.

Go For It !!!! I hope your doing it for fun, if not, if not you'll probaly make more money renting the land then working it yourself.

I have one and it has been a good machine, I picked up a 4400 last year because it had air, but when it comes to threshing they are both winners in my book. I have used on red clover seed, beans and corn.

If it is the early model with the flat screen radiator fan, it may tend to run hot easy in dirty conditions, so be prepared to clean out the screens often. If it's a late model with the rotary screen, then heating won't be as much of an issue.
