How big of a bean head on a 4400

I was wondering how big of a bean head I could run on a 4400 diesel combine. Would a 16' be too much? I know I could just leave 3 feet on one side open and not have a full 16'. Will it be able to lift it? Would I have the capacity to run a 16'?

Thanks guys!

yes it will handle a 16' foot pretty good, in really good beans, check behind your combine as you can run them to fast and put them out the back

My 6600 with the 329 didn't always handle a 216 with ease. 60-70 bushel beans were plenty. Just lay off some. I kept the head when I moved up to a 7720 Titan II. It was pretty funny looking, I could fly with that thing. I liked the head because I could go down the road with it on.

A 4400 will handle a 16 foot head with no problem, I ran one for 5 years, was a 100 series head with floating cutter bar. Bean adv 30 to 45 bu an acre those years. Bandit
