Hey all,

I got that quick attach pickup head mounted on my 6620SH this past weekend. It actually didn't do half bad, considering my wheat laid on the ground, getting rained on for two weeks. Unfortunately, the clutch was siezed up and I stripped the sprocket on the gathering auger. Deere wants 180 bucks to get a new one. Frankly, the whole head is barely worth that. I'm gonna call the guys y'all mentioned last time I came crying to you tomorrow. If they don't have it, who should I call? It's a 42 tooth sprocket with the mountings for the slip clutch gears cast into the back. I can get a part number tomorrow. Any of you guys have an 8 or 10 foot quick attach head sitting in the weeds?

The part number is H61868. I'm in kind of a bind as I need to get my oats out early next week.

I have a 100 series 13ft rigid head that is junk.
You will have to check if any of those parts will fit yours. Do you have a 100, 200, 900 series head, flex or rigid?

I tried to run your part number against "Where Used" in JD online parts, nothing came back.

Where are you at? I'm 15 miles East of Sumner Iowa.

The local Deere dealership was able to look up the part number, so it is good. Dunno what he did to make it work.

It's the first series with the pitman drive sickle. The sprocket is the driven on the gathering auger. It has the drives for the slip clutch on the back side and 42 teeth. Mine is a 10 footer converted to a pickup head.

I'm finally back home and will check this morning. (Saturday)

I also checked the Deere parts and it is a good number, just couldn't find it in the electronic parts catalogue. The drawing of the part shows it is for a 55, 95, 105 conbine.
