'nother use for combines:
Down here in South Florida, in sugar cane country, some of the cane growers have gotten a combine and stripped all the combining stuff off of them and mounted a grab loader on them to use to load seed sugar cane. Works real good.

i've seen or read where people used them for staionary shellers, round bale haulers, took off the combine poarts and mounted new idea uni system parts since they didnt have the hydraulic probs of the uni.also some were turned into self propelled grain carts, had planters mounted on them. your imagination is the limit !

In addition to snow blowers & sprayers, there were quite a few combine demo derbies around here 10 years ago.

Some fellow in "FARM SHOW" magazine converted a Case IH combine into a tractor. Looked pretty good too.

Old Cotton Pickers also work well for the below listed uses, except maby the snow plow.

A farm neighbor down the road from my farm converted a Gleaner E into a snow plow. I have not seen it but have heard it works quite well.

Can relate to that Mudcat. People here have stripped old combines down and mounted boomsprays on them or converted them into windrowers. (do you call them swathers).Regards, Redfan.
