There are 2 Gleaner K2s for sale by 2 different owners and both are being sold as parts. one is really rusty and the other has a bad transmission. The one that is rusty, they want $4000 for, the bad tranny one, they want $3500. I think that's way too high for a small combine. I was wondering if the corn head for the K2 is the same as the K. I am going to look at both combines, to see if either person will sell just parts off the machine, so I figured I would ask here, before I go, if a lot of these parts will interchange with a K.

Thanks
John

Wow that is some money - are they diesel? My F3 with 2 heads was only $3500 here in MN - I understand smaller machines are still in demand where you are, but for machines with problems, that's some money!

John, there are a lot of parts that might interchange. This is where it gets kinda complicated if you have the parts book and serial number of your machine you will have to get the serial number of the parts machine and the parts breakdown or their parts book and look for part number matches. There have been big changes in machines just a year apart especially in the traction drive section ask Allen in NE other things seem to never change like the feeder beater and cylinder section walkers can change even from one series 2 to another so just beware. I would take a tape measure and measure the cleaning shoe length vs yours and the walkers also write down the serial number on theirs and yours and we can tell you what years they are and see how far they are apart.
