hh 120 oil leak

I've got a Sears Suburban with the HH 120 Tecumseh engine. It has had a slow oil leak for some time that is getting worse. Oil leaks from under the engine and down left side of tractor frame (flywheel side). It leaks even when sitting for long periods. When the ignition went bad it didn't run for about a year until I could find parts for it. We pulled the engine off and is dry behind the flywheel so crank seal is OK. Engine is sitting on a papertowel now after cleaning the bottom off real good. Is there any trick or secret for finding an oil leak? I know they make a dye to add to the oil but don't know anybody that sells it.
Thanks, Bob

The most common places for oil leakage are drain plugs/pipe at base of block or bottom of gasket on side cover on pto side(maybe running across block/frame)other possibilty is a hairline crack in bottom of block or in block at eng mounting tabs or bolt holes, for oil dye goto ebay & search item# 180399800244

Just found out autozone also carries in their house brand(quest $6.95)if any near you check there or possibly pep boys, strauss, local auto parts store.

Oil leaks can travel, start with a good cleaning, Automotive Degreaser + hot water.

Run engine after a through drying, shut off, let cool, feel around for leak, possibly a sump gasket.
