KOEHLER PROBLEM

I have a JD LT160 w/a koehler 15hp 460s. engine crankcase fills up with gas when engine is RUNNING! doen't when it's not running. engine has a fuel pump on it. I did put on a new carb because old gas was left in it and wrecked it. repair shop never heard of this problem, any help out there?

If the fuel pump is mounted on the engine and is operated by the cam shaft, the pump diapgram has a hole in it. don"t think those pumps are repairable, just have to replace it. If the diapragm is torn or damaged, as the pump runs, it pumps into the carb, as well as into the crankcase.

even a vacuum operated pump can do that.
