JD 300 400 lawn tractor

On the 300 & 400 series JD garden tractor there was a sun shade that was available for it.
I need the mounting brackets number.
also the shade assy, Are these parts still available?
Has anyone had one of these?

I do not own one, but I collect the 300 series
for a hobby. That said, I watch E-Bay for parts
and they come up periodically. Usually they are
used or N.O.S.(new old stock).

I have a Question on the 318 there are many wiring harness for them, Different years different color wires, harness not avalible any more. I dont know what the serial no is. Painted over. So how do i buy one off E Bay with out knowing the serial no? The guy that had it pulled all the wires out of the Ig switch plug & put a push button start in it & a key switch to shut it off.
This one has 1 pink 2 purple 1 purple W/black stripe, 1 brown, 1 large red & 1 small red.
the wire colors changed from year to year on the same model.
I think its a 1985 but need to know what serial number brake this wire coler was used.

Can't you carefully remove the paint to see the serial #???

I tryed that but can't make out the first two numbers, Think it might be 68 but not sure.
