honda repower on 318 jd

any one ever do a honda repower on a 318
was wondering if it was costly and a hassle
got a nice 318 jd with bad motor only 700 hours
shame to part it out thx gary

I"d fix the current eng if at all possible; a Honhuh would be my LAST LAST LAST resort!!!!
or Kawi or Chinese copy; there are way better options out there on another Kohler a Briggs an Onan or for Gods sake even a Tecumseh; I used to complain about Kohler parts pricing; I have found Honduh parts make Kohler downright cheap; and kohler is MUCH easier to get, too!!!
