Any one Know the size of belt that goes on a 1969 Sears XL 10 Tractor on the starter/ genorator.

Do you have a number off the old belt? You could
use a tape measure to get a ball park length. I have a S/G on my Wards tractor and I use a 3/8 X 37" belt. Most auto parts stores will allow you to return a belt in exchange for a different length belt. I did that on my MTD edger. Hal

A cloth tape measure [ used by Tailors ] works way better than a steel one, failing that, use a piece of rope, mark or knot, use that to match up belt

searsparts.com and put in your model number off the tractor (917------) and you should find the sears part number. With that number you can cross reference to find a compatible belt.
