A friend is selling his 1618 Power King. It comes with:

Front End Loader
52" Mower Deck
Power Angle Snow Blade
Rear Lift
Owners Manuals

He says all are in decent shape.

I have no clue what the value is. Can somebody help?

Most anything with a loader is worth $1200-1500. I'm not familiar with that tractor but price has a lot of variables. I'd guess if it's in good shape, runs and works good with the extra implements probably $2000.00 would be good starting point.

$2000 to $2500 for sure. One thing to look at, check over the engine very closely, especially around the cooling fins. Those engine overheat and drop valves like crazy if they are not kept clean and cool. Good strong engine with power to spare but it's a higher maintenance engine that most other kohlers. Assuming this is the single cyl. K361 and not repowered with a kohler 18 twin. If it seems to run fine with no smoke and you buy it, clean those air fins out before you use it for any length of time. Been there, done that. Check the tranny good too. Feel free to email for more info on that.

Here's some of the things that can cause your engine to overheat as Jeff suggested. Either mice or chipmunks pack this on my tractor. I don't keep any cleaning rags loose in the mini-barn. Had a hack of a time getting this out. I finally pulled the head so I could get an air hose in there inside that shroud. Pulling the engine would be a major job with it having a driveshaft. Hal

Pulling the engine isn't that terrible unless it's your first time. You're right though, mice like it under there. The biggest culprit though is oil. That engine likes to deposit oil on the fins which in turn catches all the debris that attempts to fly through there. As I say, keep them clean, adjust the valves every now and then and you're probably fine. Top end lubrication is the problem with those engines. The later ones are a little better but I don't recall the cutoff number.

Listen to Jeff, they are a powerhouse of a tractor, but check out that top end. This is what greeted me under the shrouds on my 2418. That oil will kill any cooling and be the end of a really nice motor!

Look in my picture site and you'll see pics of my PK with FEL along with some others. I don't post pics on here enough to get the system down. Look under "Tractors past and present" or something like that. You'll see it.

OK, now I figured it out. Forget the link. Here's a picture of my 1981 1614 with FEL along with my 1983 2414. There are better pictures on my site but I wanted to get this figured out.
