i have a cub cadet with ser#39918 , ialso have a rearend with the ser, # on the little ear on the right of 111502. the question is will the pto from the 111502 fit the 39918??? i believe the 111502 rearend to be out of a cadet 71? i picked the rearend up at a local junkyard for 25 dollars. thanks for any and all help

Ira:

NONE of those numbers are any good. I suspect you have a Cub Cadet Original but don't know for sure.

How about posting a picture...???

the tractor with ser#39918 is an original and the rearend with the number of 111502 i believe to be a model 71 built in 1965.

the rearend with the number of 111502

[b:8feeefd6c5]111502[/b:8feeefd6c5] is NOT a IH Part Number.

NOW....which PTO are you talking about...??

The traditional PTO on the front of the motor to run ie: a mower deck. OR the optional Rear PTO that is installed on the rear end cover...??

according to ih registry the location of the ser# are correct. 39918 makes it built inaugust of 1962. and the rearend with a ser# of 111502 makes being built in march of 1965. and it is the rear pto i am asking about. note - www.ihcubcadet.com/bobspage/ thanks again

Here is the optional Rear PTO Kits from the Cub Cadet Accessory Catalog....

Ira, first, the rear axle assembly from a 71 or any of that series is NOT a direct bolt in swap to the OCC frame. The internal gearing, differential carrier and axles will swap into the OCC case.

i knew the rearend case was different but was not sure of the gearing. i have 20 cub cadets and i want to collect all the models from the original to the 169. i would like something different on all of them not just a plain cadet. thanks again for any and all help
