does anyone know where I can get a rebuild kit for a briggs carb?

Don"t know the engine type, think its a 5 horse, # stamped on side of engine is 130202 0198-04 77040506.

Also can anyone tell me the basics of rebuilding it? I"ve rebuilt carbs before, just not this type. And please dont say buy the manual.

It is a gas tank mounted carb, by the way.

google, briggs 22-1413,for the carburetor kit you need for engine model 130202.mfgsupply.com, jacks small engine or your local hardware store should have the kit. about $8to$10. there is instructions in the kit of how to install

I don't think that there is an actual kit for a 5hp carb,the only part to replace is the diaphragm that is under the plate on the left side of the carb held on by 4 small screws.There is a screen on the bottom of each pickup tube,you need to take the carb off of the tank to get at them and you would need a new gasket for that,total cost(last I new anyway)$2.00

Those gas tank mounted carbs are usually just clean em out and replace the diaphram. Pay attention to how it comes apart.

For the most part,the pickup tube screen is normally the problem with tank mounted carbs,they get clogged with trash and gunk.Dude11
