Cub Cadet 3148

Trying to find the specs on this tractor. Belongs to a friend of mine. Said it started smoking and drinking oil. He said it was a Kohler Command, so I'd bet almost anything it blew a head gasket. Can anyone tell me what motor for sure this is?

Also, says tranny is weak in reverse. Can't find what tranny this is. Not much luck on Cub website.

Could it be a Cub 3184?-3148 wasnt a Cub production model
If it is a 3184 It would have a Kohler Command.
As far as the transmission concern-those are servicable unit-has a spin on filter-check level and fluid condition-
The Hydrostat part of the trans/rearend is made by Hydro-Gear,the rest is made by Cub Cadet

Thanks for the tips guys, I musta transposed the 84/48 in my head, just thinking that since he told me it was a 48" deck, that the model was 48!
