Hello All!

I have a Cub Cadet LT1050 (23 horse Kohler) bought new this year. All of a sudden it won't start. I don't seem to be getting any spark to the plugs. Anything to look for or any common problems? About once a day it will fire and then immediatly quit. After that it won't fire, spit or sputter.
Any manuals or check procedures that I should go thru?
Thanks in Advance!

Gary

Gary,
Are you checking for fire at the plugs with a tester or just saying it has not fire because it will not start. If it does not have fire to both plugs, it is not the coils, t it has two coils on it, and they are independent of each other, so if ti has no fire to the plugs on both cylinders, then you could have a multitude of things wrong with it.

Thanks all! I got it going by polishing the magnet on the flywheel. I don't know if it was interfering with the coils but it was a little rusty.

Thanks

Gary

Here is something that me and my buddy built last winter. It is either a Lawn Splitter or a Wood Mower!

If you just bought it new this year take it back to your dealer and let them deal with it !

If you bought it from a chain store contact them for the nearest Cub warranty repair station.

Yea I was just hoping I wouldn't have to drag it in to get serviced! I would almost rather buy the part if it isn't to badly priced.

Your owner's manual should tell you where to get service. My nephew has the IH dealer to pick up his Cadet. I would give them a call. If it was made by MTD they may have a service center. I wouldn't tear into since its under warranty. It may void your warranty. Hal

The electronic module or coil is probably weak when it gets warm. That should be covered under your warranty. Hal
