HAVING A PROBLEM GETTING 345 TO FIRE. HAD IT RUNNING THE OTHER DAY AND IT JUST SHUT OFF. MESSED WITH SWITCH UNDER SEAT AND GOT IT GOING AGAIN. WENT TO START AGAIN TODAY AND IT WILL TURN OVER BUT WILL NOT FIRE. DON"T KNOW IF PLUGS ARE GETTING SPARK OR NOT. IT SEEMS TO BE A SAFETY SWITCH PROBLEM. GAS IS FRESH AND TURNS OVER QUICKLY AND PLUGS FOUL. DOES THE SWITCH AT THE BOTTOM OF SEAT EVER GO BAD. I JUMPED IT AND IT DIDN"T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE. THANKS FOR HELP

Check the Fuel Cap and make sure that Vent Hole is not plugged. If it is, just drill it out.Hard to believe but this can keep it from running.
Another thing to keep a eye on is the Bolt that holds the PTO Clutch Pulley on.
Seems they think it better to use never seize rather than Lock tight to keep it tight. It will work loose and $200 later your back up and runing.
I have learned the hard way,and this is common problem I have been told.

Kent they use the module so when your on rough terrain, and or the operator weighs very little to prevent the PTO from switching off at the slightest little quick closing of the seat switch. Its a solution on the earlier z-traks mowers as well.A real pain when your mowing on rough terrain or on a hillside and the PTO stops on ya.U gotta push the switch in and then pull it on again.Gives just a little delay to prevent this from happening.

On the GX 345 If you ever noticed when you shut the key off the engine continues to run a few seconds before it shuts off
This is controled by the TDC module
Time Delay Control Module
When they go bad it can do some crazy stuff
Stall out after warm No start Irrattic Run
This is probably whats wrong with ur 345
Where the positive battery cable hooks to the starter solenoid you will see a small red eyelet wire hooked there also
Follow it to a round shape module that has a short yellow wire a short orange wire and a black wire
This is the TDC module
Its not expensive an it should correct the problem
Good Luck Futher questions please feel free to mail me Gary

You nailed it there, chevy65- its the shutdown delay module thats failed. I replace plenty of them at work- makes a persons day when they find out its only a 15 dollar part and they are off and running again. Replace that, you should be up and going right away.
