I was cleaning out my boss' shed when I stumbled upon a sickle bar mower apparently for a garden mower. I asked my boss if I could have it. He said I could because he was just gonna scrap it. I hauled it home and while I was putting it in my barn I noticed a brass tag on it, That said "mfr's no. 990210. model no.1266 SIM." I deduced it was a Simplicity since it was orange it made sense.it has only a little rust otherwise it is perfect, i may oil it then try and turn it over, I got it to move an inch. the original belt to drive it is still there. How much is it worth? Anyone want it. I live in West Michign, I looked on google and found one for $250.00. Is that what it is worth? Thanks, Andrew Anderson

I have two of those sickle bar mower"s and have gotten good use from them. I have been offered as much as $500.00 for one but I don"t what to part with them. I have a part"s manual for them and I think I may still have a owner"s manual in the shop some where"s for it. Good luck with the mower, also the one"s I have fit a B-series tractor and maybe a few others.
