I stumbled across an old four wheel rider this morning while hunting parts in a salvage yard. It is a Burns, built in Louisville, GA. Has anybody ever seen one or have any info?

Hello,Did you sell the info you had on the Burns garden tractors? Sorry if this is not the person who owned the info, I wasn't quite sure. I saw the 2 pics of the Burns tractor manuals or whatever they were, on this site, model B-60-E, 6 hp.and B-90-E, 9 hp. I have a rare tractor that is the sister of the Burns. It is a Penfield Suburban with a 9 hp. Briggs. The tractors are identical except for the colors. Mine is white with a blueish silver paint scheme. There isn't any id tags on mine so I don't have any numbers other than the 9 hp. decal on the side of the hood. Same decal as the Burns, but mine has Penfield there by the 9. I found some literature on them and they are made by Burns Manufacturing too. I would buy the manuals if you have them.
Thanks Alot! KJ

Marvin, my e-mail is open. E-mail me and I will scan this so you can see what it looks like. They were made in Louisville Georgia. One peice is dated 1964. It also shows a roto tiller. Bear with me, lots to do this weekend.

Dadburnit Marvin, I think there was one in the photo adds a few months ago in original condition but I'm suffering from CRS and cannot remember where or when. It looked to be in nice shape. Good Luck.

I think that the burns tractors were built by Gilson as they look like the early Wards tractors that Gison built. What kind of condition is it in?

The ID plate says built by Burns Inc. in Louisville, Georgia. It is identical to the ID plate on a roto-tiller I bought from a local dealer last spring. The tractor is complete less engine & wheels. It is light green w/a white grill. The word Burns is just above the top of the grill in chrome letters and there is a chrome strip about three inches wide down the center of the hood. The steering wheel is cast, aluminum I believe. Where can I find some pics?
