There is a Speedex 1630 garden tractor for sale in
the local thrifty nickel with belly mower, plow,
disc, and furrower. What might this be worth if
everything is in working condition? I've never of
Speedex are they reliable, repairable, and parts
available? Thanks.

This are very durable tractors that have been around for many years. I have three of them and love them. I have 2 S-14's and one S-23. The one that you speak of were made in the 70's-80's. They are great to restore and if you search the internet parts can be found. For a list of pictures of Speedex Tractors try this web site if you haven't found it already. Link As far as the value it really depends on the area that your in and the condition. Most all of them use a briggs and stratton motors and they are easy to replace if every needed. Good luck.

My dad sold Speedex in the 60's and 70's.They were simple, rugged, and not a lot to go wrong. They ceased production in the 80's but have since been revived.I'm not familiar with the model number so I suspect it's one of the new ones.Try contacting Gene Story at gene@ns.net he may be able to help. They also have a website-speedex.com I think.Hope this helps.Mark Thompson
