Hi,

I have a couple of questions on a John Deere 140 Patio tractor. The engine is a Kohler K341 is this the correct engine? It looks fairly new compared to the rest of the tractor but the fuel tank rubs against the engine shroud. It actually rubbed a hole into the tank we had to patch.

Also, the differential brake pedals are angled toward the driver. I think they are bent but the friend of mine who owns it says they are made that way. If you press on the right brake only the left pedal interferes with your foot. I think they should be perpendicular with the frame of the tractor.

I need to find him some manuals...

Thanks!

Jason

the pedals on my 140 angle too i figure it's more of a natural postion when pressing on the pedals, also the k341 is a 16hp ,it should have a k321 ,

Thanks! I kind of figured the engine was replaced...

I do agree the pedals appear to be in a natural position but when pressing the right brake alone falls behind the left pedal interfering with your foot.

So be it!
