I want to replace the turf tires on a 446 with ag or lug tread tires. The rims on it are 16" but I know there were 15" rims used on the 600 series loader tractors.Any advantage of one over the other as far as price and availability? I think the 15" rims were a bit wider. Will I be able to find wider tires in 15"? If I can't find Case rims are there any pick-up truck rims that will fit? Thanks, Bob S.

Another idea, try Ebay in the power equipment section, sub section lawn mowers-tractors, look on the left side for big sellers and one is Joes Outdoor Power. He is in the Detroit area and he parts out and sells lots of lawn equipment on Ebay. Just a few weeks ago he listed a 60" mower deck off of a 446 or 448 and had in the picture a pair of rear tires/wheels off of the tractor being parted out.

For tires I would try cedarrapidstire.com, they have given me good service with very good prices. The tire size is 8-16, the rims are 6 bolt on 6" bolt spacing straight across, bolt to farthest bolt. Chevy and a lot of Japenese truck 6 bolt rims use a 5.5" bolt spacing. If you find the right kind of truck wheel with the right offset, you could re-drill the wheels for 6" spacing if you are carfull and precise. Most all farm equipment with 6 bolts are 6" spacing but you need to check the offset so everything clears. If I plow snow next year with my 448, I might put Bridgestone Blizzak tires on the back for good traction. Those tires sure helped me get around when I owned a 2 wheel drive 86 B2000. The tires mentioned above will fit your rims. Going to the fifteen inch rims will affect the top speed and the power to the ground. I'd stick with the 16".

I think I remember reading that the 446 had 6 lug rims that were the same as the front wheels used on some farm tractors or on some farm implements.
