Hello everyone,
I'm trying to set up a Zenith Bendix Carberator on a Bolens Husky 800 lawn tractor. Does anyone know how to set all the adusment knobs on this carb. There is a turn cock at the bottom level of the bowl, and a knerrled screw near the top outlet. I need to know how many turns to back off these screws and which one is used to set the running smooth operation.
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

one turn from lightly seated is usually a good rule of thumb. run at full throttle to set the one on bottom of float bowl, thats the hi speed. then idle the motor, turn the idle mix screw in til it stumbles, turn it out til it runs rough, the put it back half in the middle of the two. always do these adjustments in that order, with the air cleaner on, and dont forget to check the top RPM so you dont over rev.

My GUESS would be to start out with both screws abou 2.5 turns open from lightly seated.

My GUESS is that the lower screw is the LOAD adjustment, and the upper screw is the idle adjustment.
