I have the opportunity to purchase a Bolens HT23 with 54" deck, 54" blade (hydrolic angling), tiller, and wheel weights. The engine was professionally rebuilt in December of 2000. Tractor has original paint and looks excellent, you can tell it was taken care of. The only minor thing is the hydrostatic rear end drips some. This is definately a good solid piece of machinary and the owner is asking $1800 for everything. Does this sound good to you guys? I think it sounds good, but I'm also trying to consider that Bolens parts are becoming hard to find. I have a Bolens QT16 now and it never has any trouble. Any thoughts?

I have a Bolens HT23 tractor that needs work. It comes with a 54" mower deck, 48" heavy duty snow thrower weights and chains. Is there a market for this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Dave

Kim,

If you are still looking for an HT 23, please contact me. Mine is a '79 with 54" Mower, 44" tiller, and 48" 2 stage blower. The tractor is in good shape. I rebuilt the front ent 2 years back - new fron spindles, bearings, king pin, etc. The transmission is in good shape, no leaks or slippage. Only problem is that the engine needs to be rebuilt.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I have 2 Bolens HT 23's. Lots of accompanying implements as well ie; flail mower, a 42" tiller and a 36" tiller, a 48" blade, a 48" earth mover and a 48" snow blower. Problem is I need 2 engines. One blew a rod and the other hasn't run for 3 years since the original owner died. I'm looking for a warehouse that can ship me an engine or two. Any ideas?

I believe that the engines are no longer made but you can still get parts for them. I am looking for a hydraulic pump for the HT 23 any suggestions?

The Ht 23 uses an eaton model 11 pump. you can still buy them from eaton. only thing is you might have to change the output shaft on it. go to www.eaton.com
