I have a 16hp Brigg's twin that start's up fine, but when it's running and not under a load, the engine misses. The carb is completely clean, but the idle screw is turned all the way in to get it to run. Rebuilt the fuel pump also that's mounted to the carb. What's going on??? Mike

I just had one of these in the shop last week with the same problem. The engine is loading up. More than likely the needle and seat are not sealing properly and / or the float has gas in it and is not closing the needle. I am assuming that the problem existed before you dissasembled the carb. Double check that you reassembled the feul pump correctly and that the float bowl gasket is the correct one. (the kit comes with 3 or 4 different gaskets)
