I bought this 1810 cub cadet new in 1989 and really like it, but would like to know if it is a real cub cadet or an MTD?

1810 is one of a Cub Cadet Corp. series that used the IH frame design for the "82 series." The 1810 is based on the 782 frame, but with an 18 hp Kohler Magnum engine and aluminum rear end castings. It is a hydro with mechanical lift arm. I have an 1811, basically the same tractor with a hydraulic lift. Also in the series: 1204, 1210, 1211, 1806, 1812 and the Super Garden Tractor models 1572, 1872 and 2072.

An 1810 was built by MTD. If memory serves, that one was originally designed by IH, however. I spent a summer on an 1710. It was one tough little tractor!
