I also have an atlas snowblower that my mom and dad gave me that they had bought for my Grandfather about 30 years ago at Montgomery Wards, all i know about it is that it is a 5 hp and that it has an electric start plus a pull start, it still runs pretty good but i would like to get a hold of an owners manual for it, can anyone help?

Sorry can't help you. I am looking for a source of parts for an Atlas 15-5211A snow thrower, particularly the clutch spring. I think this is a newer model (only about 20-25 yrs old!). At some point I was advised that another company had bought Atlas' stock of parts, but I can't find that reference. I have 3 of these snow throwers in the hope of having parts, but clutch springs are gone on 2 of them. I can't believe parts were made JUST for this machine--does anyone have any ideas?

My friend and I both have an atlas #15-5211 we both replaced the clutch springs in 1991. His just broke again. MTD bought out ATLAS. You can get a spring from MTD or jackssmallengines.com You might have somebody close who sells MTD. The part# they use to replace it is 707893 and it sells between 30 & 40 dollars.

You might try www.hanceco.com. I have bought parts from them before.

Anyone have a copy of the manual for the 15-8261A model snow thrower. This is a two stage unit with an 8 hp motor. I would love to get a copy of the manual.

Dan

The only two approaches I can think of are: 1. have someone make a few for us, but the cost may be high; and 2. try to see if any of the old repair shops have some lying around.

What size tires does this machine have ? I have one and there are no markings on the sidewall of the tires to indicate the size.
The tires measure 9" o.d. x 5.75 " i.d x 2.75 " wide. I would like to put chains on for better
traction.

Note: I have a Atlas snow thrower 2-cycle model 15-3220 serial #F-003076. I'm in need of information where to run two wires that came loose. One is a Green wire coming from the magnito I think, and the other one is a ground to the chassie . Please answer as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.

I have an owners manual for a model 15-5211A. I don't know if that would do you any good, but would be happy to get you a copy if you want one. But I also have a question. I need a wheel. Do you have any idea where I can get one, or any where that has service parts for older Atlas snowblowers?

The wheel that is turned by the drive belt snapped in half on my Atlas Snowblower--
model #A520ES-N
Service #--603241 (5hp--20in.)

I tried a simple glue job to no avail.

Where can I find a replacement? Someone said that Atlas was out of business. Are there parts to buy? Did someone buy them out? Mary

Mary - I've been looking for parts for mine as well.

MTD -- www.mtdproducts.com seems to be the only place that handles Atlas anymore.

Their number is 1-800-269-6215, and they sent me to the 'archives' dept for info on my Atlas, which is 1-800-800-7310.

good luck -
Chris
