I was recently given a Wards 34" lawn tractor
and am looking to find owners manuals and repair
manuals for both the tractor and the Briggs and
Stratton Engine. The tractor has a model number
of TM033876A CO32D. The engine is a 10HP Briggs
but has no nameplate identifying the model number.
Briggs website not much help since it required a
model number for info. Anyone have any ideas on
how to determine the engine model number?

Thanks!
Mark

Hi Timmer ,
Hope things have been going well for ya' . Is the Charger transmission working OK except for the leak ? These hydros can be resealed if it is just the case gasket or axle seals leaking (gaskets and seals from a Wheel Horse deealer) , they can be rebuilt with some time , patiences and parts from a hyraulic shop . There is a place in Michigan that will rebuild these units BUT it costs big $$$ . You can also install a six speed BUT you need a Raider series donor tractor to make it easy . Bill in Richmond , Va.

Hey there,
I couldn't even find a Montgomery Ward web site!
Where is that?I have a 18hp Briggs and a 44 inch cut deck.
I keep throwing belts and can tell I am missing deck parts but don't know what and where so I need diagrams of the deck.
ANY help would be so appreciated.

I purchased a wards 22hp yardman which is a mtd lawn tractor. I am pretty sure yours is a mtd model also. The part numbers for MTD and the wards tractors are mostly the same, so start with MTD parts and you may find what you need.
PS Wards no longer here or in business.

Hello, I don't know if this will be of any help but I have a 1975 Montgomery Wards Tractor (built by Gilson, GIL-33155B), it is the 16HP variable speed with a Briggs and Stratton single cylinder, L-head, air-cooled type Model #3264376#0135-03#7312171. I have the 44" mower deck (cut grass goes out the rear of the deck), and the rotary Tiller #GIL-33095A.

If this is anything like yours I have the owner's guides and exploded part lists. I have 5 separate guides, tractor basic owner's guide and basic parts list has 15 pages, tractor parts list with each area of the tractor exploded to show all the parts it has 32 pages, a 3 page supplement to parts list book, one book for the mower deck (I think this one is about 15 pages) and one for the Rotary Tiller (7 pages). Almost forgot I also have information like wiring, starter, alternator, operating and maintenance on Briggs & Stratton engine models 302431 to 302437 and 326431 to 326437.

If you need any of this information write back and I will scan what you need and email it to you. I know it is hard to find information on these tractors, but they are die hards!! Teresa

I have a 1975 GIL 33185A garden tractor, with a 16 horse B&S engine. I am in the process of rebuilding the engine. Someday I would like to rebuild the whole tractor. If you know where I could get replacement parts for the tractor, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

My Montgomery Ward tractor is a MTD tractor. Its serial number has the same prefix letters yours does (TMO). When I need parts I go to my local MTD dealer, they can cross numbers for you.
