Do you have a wiring diagram?

Has the ignition switch been changed, there are a number of LGT ignition switches that APPEAR to be the same, but have different internal functionality and terminal markings.

I'm NOT sure if that model has rubber engine mounts, if it DOES there needs to a ground jumper wire between the engine and chassis.

LOTS of good info at Simple Tractors.

I swapped the key switch with a different
one not sure if it's the same. It doesn't
have rubber mounts I have the diagram. I
had it turning over with the different key
switch

For a simple tractor, there are a lot of details that can be messed up preventing starting and running.
I'll repeat the advice to look into the Simple Tractors website.
You need to study that wiring diagram and figure out if you have a positive or negative ground.
Get that polarity wrong and it won't start or run.

You need to make sure that safety switches allow current to the starter and the coil.
You'll need a test light or a multimeter to check all the electrical connections.
A spark tester is nice. You can buy them online as well.

If you have some version of electronic ignition, you need a different key switch.

Like previous comments have said, get the manual. It will pay you back several times over.

Awright, your switch should have terminals labeled B,S,I R,and A If it has one labeled M. it's wrong unless you have repowered with a Magnum engine, The B should connect to the hot terminal on the solenoid thru the circuit breaker,The I should go to the + term on the coil. The - should go to the points and the condenser. The S should go thru the neutral safety switch next to the hydro control to the small term on the solenoid. The A runs any accessories (lights, lift, which it might have and Pto clutch, which it does NOT have. The R goes to the B+ term on the regulator/rectifier !!!Whew,Hope this helps

I have the manual
I can get a different key switch but I had it turning over with the current one
Checking the wiring again tonight
I only have power to the coil if I put power to it myself.
It might be the battery connections because I had power everywhere correctly

... only have power to the coil if... usually means wrong ignition switch.
Much less frequently, the wire from the switch to the coil might be broken.

Wrong key switch might work on some functions but not others. Worse, if you apply power to the ground lug on some electronic ignition systems, you could burn it out.
