1965 Kut Kwick brush cutter model J 902-36 WR

Hi all,

We recently purchased a 1965 Kut Kwick J 902-36 WR mower. We have been unable to find a parts manual, service manual, or much of anything on this vintage machine.

We especially need a set of blades at this time as this one has some chunks and mows moderately well after my husband sharpened the blades the best he could.

Do you have any info on replacement blades, substitution blades that work, parts sources, etc? We would appreciate any information or input you share with us.

Thanks in advance,
Barb

Actually, there is only one, very heavy duty blade under
there. Unless you are doing brush cutting for which that
machine is intended, you can get by with a standard 36
inch riding lawnmower blade. Some of them had knock
out centers in the blade to alter the hole size which is
what you will need as the arbor is pretty big under there.
Ultimately , if you cant find anything online or eBay, just
keep grinding until its sharp. Get a blade balancer and
keep it balanced. Youll probably never dull the blade
anyway, it has no reverse and you have to pull it back
manually if you are mowing around stuff. After a couple
hours of that you will decide that it is better as a
conversation piece.
