Onan coil wireing

When hooking up a new coil on a 2 cylinder Onan engine which side does the hot wire go on, the + or the - side? Dumb question I know, but these small engines are not easy for me. Thanks for your help. John

If its a P series, put the igntion switch wire on the + and the - to the trigger behind the flywheel. (I would think this would be the way the points type coils are wired too.)

(Actually, if it is a P-series and it has the original wires, the igntion switch wire terminal is smaller than the trigger wire terminal and the posts on the coil are different sizes too. (So you really have to get creative to mix them up.)
