Ingersoll Rand case224 mower deck angle for belts

We have a case 224 Ingersoll Rand. Have noticed that the main driven pully on the deck is on downward angle [not level to the ground] this is causing the belt coming off the angle drive pullies at an angle of approximately 20 degs., downward at the front of the driven pully.
>>> to my thoughts it should be level to the ground so the belt comes off the angle drive pullies flat when the deck is down at cutting height [middle hole on quadrant]
What do I do to correct the driven pully angle and deck angle. There must be something that I am not seeing correctly, that is either warn or bent allowing the front of the deck to be lower than the back causing the pully mis alignment.

When I had my 446, I had to go through and redo all the mounting points and pins holding my deck on. Lot of egg shaped holes and worn pins. Did some brazing, pin replacement and added some washers. That solved my problem. Use a floor jack and you should have no issue figuring out what is worn.

That's what I was slowly coming to the realization of. I will have to set it on fairly level ground in front of the shed and 'jack the front of the deck up using a bullet level on both the tractor and the deck to bring them into companion set.
Thank you.
Once that is done and all is back in close alignment then I am going to pull the center spindle and send it to my retired machinist and have him rework the center spindle since the lock nut loosening and 1/2 moon key is wearing.
Thank you for your information.

You should be able to adjust the rear leveling links to get the deck level. Of course if the holes and pins in the carriage and links are worn, it won't lift correctly but you should be able to get it level.

Set level with the deck wheels on the surface and set at your usual cutting height. Case is unique in that the deck wheels carry the back of the deck, always on the grass, not suspended like most everyone else.

One issue I've seen is that there have been more than one leveling link designs and they need to be used with the matching carriage. Mixing them complicates things.

Thank you for the information. As far as I can tell all is original equipment; no mods I will be at it as soon as the rain gives me a long enough time here in South Western Ontario. has rained light but steady for the last 3 days & is calling for more over the next 3. Have to work out side since on garage or large shop to work in.
Thank you again for the wonderful information. It will be of grand asistence in correcting belt coming off the deck.

Good Morning to all of you who have assisted me.
Here is a partial up date; the back links were worn, so I have bushed them out to tighten them up. Now to do the front hinge points I am in the process of creating 1/2 inch x 5/8 inch bushings and welding them on the side of the rails to support the hinge pins instead of relying only on the 1/2 inch rails alone which have also worn holes.
Thank you for all your assistance in this matter.
Will bring a final up date to all for this when I have completed the total task.
Thank you again.
