Allis Chalmers B 1 ?'s

Had a friend call me this evening with ?'s after looking at mower for sale at what he thought was a crazy price of $3200 that owner said was original and had not mowed a lawn.
What brand tire came on this mower? He said Carlisle tires on mower had nipples on them and had a newer rubber smell. Mower deck was missing a belt and other belt had cords showing at bottom of 'V'. Mower blades had orange paint on them and edges were not without wear marks; grill had paint chipped off and looked repainted.
My friend pretty much bleeds orange and has ~ 35 tractors, add to that implements and a few mowers...I think it's terminal. Seemed tires were the big ? and he couldn't find info on www so I told him I'd ask this forum. Anyone have literature, etc. Thanks in advance.

It's a rebadged Simplicity tractor. Doesn't sound like new, never used to me.
Information at Simpletractors website.

Is the seller claiming this tractor to be N.O.S.??

I doubt carlisle tires were ever the original tires on anything in the early sixties. And sixty year old tires are not going to look like new unless they were stored in a dark, oxygen free vacuum chamber.

I also doubt the deck blades would have been painted any color other than black, if at all.

DoubleO7; yup, claims it is factory new and not been mowing any lawns. I dug and found Carlisle started in 1917 BUTT, I agree with my friend that originals would have been something else. The Carlisle's on the mower were 'very interesting' to him. I appreciate your reply.
