Cub Cadet 882 diesel wont move

Does anyone know how to test the hydro pumps on these mowers? It drove maybe half a mile, made some scraping sounds and would stop moving, I made it back to the barn and came out an hour later and I have no movement and no hydraulic lift. I assumed the sound was from the centrifugal clutch in between the shaft from the motor and the hydro pump shaft, but the pump is moving just fine. Not sure if I have some stuck relief valves or if my pump just completely gave up after I shut it off, any ideas? I just picked it up today for $800 so Im not too surprised I found issues with it. And it is full of oil btw.

Ill have to check that shaft tomorrow, but theres definitely
something going on in between the motor and the pump.
When I turn the motor over the hydro pump does not spin
until the motor starts, and theres a fan with a large coupling
that resembles a clutch to me, it was all spinning together
when I last looked at it but Ill check it all over again in the
light tomorrow

You have a broken Spirol Pin, at the input shaft, to the Hydro Unit.

Yep!
There is enough fragments or burrs, friction etc. left in there for the driveshaft to spin when engine is running.
But not enough to turn the pump sufficiently when you try to move.

If your lucky, the very end of the pump input shaft did not break off.

Josh M. That shaft you got is a option for that diesel. It was designed to take the hydro load off the engine for easier starting. You could still have broken spiral pin in that shaft
