John Deere 455

Good and bad about 455, have a chance to purchase one with front blade and mower in parts, starts and runs good, but is a bit on the rough side. Approximate value??

I have one and it is a good machine with a really solid Yanmar diesel. Mine is 60 deck and really well built deck. Early transaxles had weak axle and spider gears. Expensive to replace. I know, I had to do that. Instrument cluster often fails and kind of costly. Other than that they are really nice little tractors/big mowers. Mine has a little loader and 3pt so very useful..

Can't help much with value as appearance drives that for the most part. Guess would be 1500 or so from your description. I think mine is worth 3500 with the loader.

FRont blade with quick hitch is in the 800.00 range,blade with the hitch built
in is in the 500.00 range. Gear box for the deck will be $700.00 if it is bad.
$1500.00 and up for the 455. I have a 430,455,332,all diesel and my regular
mower is a F-932 Yanmar gas burner.
