old lawn mower

Looks like a "Big Mow", later called "Ride King".

Built by SWISHER. For reverse on the early one's you had to turn the front whell 180 degrees.

My grandpa had one of the early ones that he picked up at an auction. Could be a down right pain to get it started. If I remember right there where 3 levers, throtal, high and low gear shift, and the lever to engage the blades and no brake. Fun litle mowers to drive.

these mowers were called big mows or ride king and built by swisher. i have three of them currently one i use one i just restored and it looks great! the one i use is just a pull start, the one i restored has a pull start and a electric starter uyou plug a cord into and the third has a handle on top you crank up and push a button to release it and it fires. i have also located several more in my area. i live about ten miles outside of springfield illinois. i currently am looking for a bantam lawn tractor it is about the same shape and size and has the tricycle design but the front wheel has a duel wheel on it. if anyone has any info please email me.

I also have a ride king im trying to restore and i live in springfield illiois i need parts but cant find much. mine is powered by a 8hp briggs with electric start they still make the same motor but i cant find the carb overhaul kit or solenoid. i need a seat, the lever that engages the blade and a couple other items
