Im looking for a small tractor to do a few things around our small place: grade the driveway, push up some brush, drag a few small logs, mow, etc. I am considering a Cub, Lo-Boy, AC-B... but I found an old Case 446 hyd drive tractor. Is it big enough for anything I want to do? Thanks.

A Case 446 will have the power, but you my run out of traction due to its relatively light weight. A Farmall cub would be a good choice or the AC-B. Id stay away from a low boy Cub if its the Cub Cadet low boy yer talking about. They have a cheesy clutch among other things.

The Case 446 is a capable tractor if the tires are ballasted and it has wheel wts it will have all the traction needed they are well built rugged tractors but they are hydraulic drive NOT hydrostatic, which means they have an engine driven hydraulic pump a control valve and a hydraulic motor the drives a 2 speed transaxle, speed control is more of a throttle use as the hyd control is basically slow or faster no in between, if its in good condition it will do what you want also Onan engine parts are very expensive

I agree with all of that, except the on or off part. When in good repair, no loose joints in the links etc they can actually creep very slowly and smoothly increase speed up to max.

I have had a number of them since the 80s, now only have one running, a later Brigss 16hp model and 3 projects

Usually one will find bad ball joints on the control rods to the valve, worn holes in the levers etc. After all, they date from the late '60s. But easy enough to take all that play out with parts or welding and redrilling or both. Once that's fixed it will be much better.

One down side it the availability of a 3 pt hitch. They are out there, but much sought after and pricy. I have one of the latest models and won't part with it, yet.
There have been some internal changes in the valves over the years as the spools machined grooves are different. That may account for some difference in 'feel'. Also the detent section has been changed.
