For t.r.k. kawasaki stalling

As you suggested I got a spark tester. Spark is good when it stalls. It has the little diaphragm pump that is hooked to the valve cover to operate. It was mounted above fuel level, I moved it to below fuel level, no change. I put a vacuum gauge on the connection of the valve cover with motor running it just pulls a vacuum, keeps going up longer motor runs to @ 3 psig. I thought it should change from vacuum to preasure with each stroke of the piston. Am I right? Is this the problem? Thanks to anyone that can help me out. I will be needing to trade my dog for a goat soon if mower doesn't get going.

Just a suggestion. Track down the brether hose that comes out of the block somewhere and see if it is pinched or blocked up.

It is normal to have a little vacuum in the crankcase. (Would slobber oil through all the seals if it didin't.) The vacum pulsates, that is what powers your diaphragm fuel pump.

Since you still have spark when it quits, it sure sounds like you still have a fuel issue. Have you looked inside the carburetor for trash? You changed the fuel filter, didn't you? Have you tried running it from another fuel tank? Have you looked in the tank for any debris which could plug the fuel pickup? You may have to clean the tank and replace all the fuel line from the tank to the carburetor to fix the problem.

I recall a Toro once that would run fine for 30 minutes or so, and then start starving for gas. When I finally found the problem, it was a leaf that was about 2" up the pickup. Enough fuel could get past most of the time, but as it flowed past it eventually would restrict the fuel flow to the point the carburetor could not keep up with the demand for fuel.
