John Deere 245 LG tractor

I need a useable main wiring harness for my 245 L&G tractor. The plug that goes to the rotary key
switch is shorted out on mine. I could use just a good plug because the remainder of the harness
is in good shape. Need a source for a used harness or just the plug, such as a tractor salvage yard
or new old stock parts warehouse. Thanks for any help in locating these parts.

You can buy a good used wiring harmess for most JD equipment on eBay.
I have a couple sparesl, but they are for older garden tractors and not compatible with yours.

There is the list of John Deere equipment that used the same switch. Easiest fix would be a good used switch with a good used plug and attached wires cut off at 3-4 inches.

This is one of the easiest requests that's showed up on here for a LONG time!

You can get a brand-new plug at your local DEERE dealership for about $1.68! The dealer I am set up with has 10 in stock, if your local dealer doesn't stock them, have them order one on a stock order, so you aren't stuck with a big freight bill.

A GOOGLE search will turn up dozens/hundreds of other sources, as well. GOOGLE "DEERE M90206".

You will need 5 wire terminals, as well, DEERE part number for those is U46662, @ about $0.55.

Or GOOGLE "Packard 56 series connectors".
