Bought a new Cub Cadet wheeled trimmer, the manual that came with it for the engine is an MTD engine manual. Ut is a 195cc OHV motor. For spark plug replacement info they only givre you the MTD part number. Their is a charcol canister filter that you may or maynot have to replace depending on how dirty it gets, but no part number given. Also no information on what the lash setting is for he valves. Called MTD they were no help sbasically sid most people din't wnat to be bothered to set valve lash so he didn't have any specs. So if any one can supply the missing info I would greatly appreciate it.

The 195 cc OHV motor valves are set to .004 - .006 intake and .006 - .008 exhaust. They use a Torch brand spark plug F6RTC that crosses to a NGK BPR6ES, set to .024 - .031. Need more numbers off the engine to find part number for carbon canister.

According to the service manual it is a EPA tier III requirement. It is just how the manufacturer deals with gas vapors out of the tank. Some use a carbon canister and some use a special fuel cap.

According to my info for a 5X65VUA engine, it is 159 CC's.
The valve adjustment is the same as the 195 cc. The plug is a Torch F5RTC or NGK BPR5ES.
We do not get many push mowers or walk behind trimmers where I work so I am just going by the Cub Cadet Web site.
Part number for the canister filter, 951-14400. According to the parts diagram it is a removable filter, but the service manual has you changing the canister assembly, 951-14629.
