My Onan B48M-GAO18 runs fine for 5 mins. then starts stumbling under load, removing the load doesn't smooth the engine out. Tweeking the main power needle helps sometimes, other times not so much. New carb about 2 years ago.....

old has a good point on the condensor. For some reason there has been a rash of bad ones in the last couple of years. Also check the carb gaskets and intake manifold gaskets. I had a BFA doing the same thing. Turned out to be intake leak. Is the carb clean.

I'm not Bill but will give you a few ideas to try. Does choking it hurt or help?? If it helps good chance you have a fuel problem and not getting the fuel it needs. If yes try taking the gas cap off the tank just in case the tank vent it clogged do that if it is clogged should make it run better.

Also check the spark when it does that and make sure you have a good blue/white spark that will jump a 1/4 inch gap or more

Choking doesn't help, makes it a little worse, so, don't think it's fuel

No black smoke, air filter was new last year and hardly ran it much afterwards, matter of fact, I took the top of the air cleaner off while it was running with no change.

I that case have you by chance change the condenser in say the last 30 or less hours of running it?? Or the coil maybe going bad

You might want to look at the points real good and if you see any burning on them the condenser maybe going bad

I have had four condensers in the last year. Where the wire pulled right out. So I would look both items over very well. Are the valves set properly. Fuel lines in good shape. Throttle rod free to move not binding up.

I ask what may seem like silly questions. Because I have found it is good to go over items that may be involved. Sometimes you forget things while thinking a problem out. Problems like do I have gas. You would be surprised at the answer sometimes.
