Help needed please 8hp Briggs 1989 .new plug 'carb from I save tractors .new magroton coil from Briggs .starts runs around two minutes then dies .any help appricated

Still sounds like a fuel problem. If you take out the plug at the bottom of the carb you should get about a 1/2 cup of gas in a minute. You could also have some crap at the bottom of the gas tank that is blocking flow. Also have seen where the fuel line was full of rust particals. Also a swollen fuel line. Saw another where a fuel filter was installed backwards. You need to check all of these.

Thanks jeefcat.forgot to tell I,have replaced fuel line it was one size larger then original changed the clamps put screw type on .cleaned fuel tank twice so far but will do that again .cleaned carb nine times before I bought the new one .will make this run if I live long enough .thanks again for your help .good bless
