Good day. I am new to this site and this is my first post. When I was younger in the 1980' s my father bought 2 Palimino Jeeps. And made one. He painted it army green put stars on it and gave it to my brothers and I for Christmas. It was a great Christmas. We live in Virginia still and I tracked down both Jeeps again. I know own the two and want to fix one up for my daughter. One is obviously only good for parts and is missing many parts from the 80's. The jeep has a K480 kohler and a hydrostatic transmission\rear end combination. I was wondering if anyone here is familiar with these and could give me any info, or point me in the direction of parts. I have the mower deck and Lilly system, but have no desire to put it back on. My jeep is number 133 . thanks Keith
 
Those little toys are very colectable. Do not just junk anything if
you can possibly help it. They are Way cool, and they really do mow
lawns. This video is a fully restored mower.

I do not plan to junk any part of the jeeps. I would like to find some one who is restoring one that needs the mower part. My brothers and I put many miles on the one . I have seen some on line, and that is actually how I found this site. As a hobby I restore muscle cars , so I feel I have the skills to restore the jeep, but have no clue on where to go for parts. My tires are all shot, and I do remember the rear end making a loud roar and slipping. I don't know how to go about finding trans axle parts, or what might interchange. Any help would be great, and thanks for the reply.
 
You need to get ahold of Dennis Frasse in Illinois. He is the go to guy on the mowers. They have a Facebook page, but it is a private group. Facebook search (Roof Mowers Talk) Dennis can get you in the group. A great bunch of guys, and a lot of knowledge. DO NOT scrap anything. Every piece you have, somebody will want sooner or later, even the mower deck. Good luck and enjoy.
