I would like to get some lug tires for my 782 . What size are you running and where did you get them? About all I can find are 23x10.5x12. Thanks

If you want a little crazy sounding advice, get ready. Those tires are all over the place on Ebay. Next, if you are having no problems with deck height or clearance problems when mowing stay with that 23 x10.5 x 12 tire. I have a mower deck lift that only picks the deck up a little so I put on 25 x 10.5 x12 tires. Picks the back end of the tractor up one inch. Makes a much nicer looking lawn. With you, if you order 2ply is heavy enough but 4ply is getting pretty stiff. Don't even think of 6ply. Finnaly, think about loading your tires with fluid. Makes a very big differance how your machine will handle. Hope this helped.

The other two folks have it right. Go to Miller on the net and just click on the size and tread pattern you want. Lots of choices.

Miller Tire recreated the Firestone 23 degree tire molds for the 23-8.50x12 and 26-12.00x12 tires plus created new 23-10.50x12 tires. I'd go with the 23-10.50x12 tires and inner tubes on your 782.

The guy I bought my 982 from borrowed a set of 26-12.00x12's to put on his 782 but had his fenders spaced up with washers and still the tires were almost rubbing on the edges of the fenders.

I had some kind of cheap Carlisle tire on my 982 when I bought it. After going to my first Cub Cadet Plow Day I put Firestones on it. They cost a little more and are well worth it.

I started out with lugs and wound up with studded snow tires. Went through a lot of $$ and time & effort, and leftover new tires, in the process to get good traction and a soft ride. Studs Hold much better and don't tear up the turf.

www and ebay are full of anything you can imagine....almost. On my Ferris, I went from a 12" dia wheel with a 22x10 4 ply, to a studded snow with an 8" diameter wheel and 2 ply running at about 6 psi. Lots of air volume to get "squished" before the tractor feels the impact. We've had a lot of hard rains this year and it's washed a lot of top soil away leaving the grass roots which makes for a washboard. Really does make for a smooth ride and super traction on ⅓ slopes around my pond dams and hanging on around pond edges.
