wheelhorse model 7251 any way to release the hydrostatic drive so it can be moved without starting it? Thanks for any help,Al

Never heard of a 7251, does it say that on a decal, how old is it. That must be a Charger, see if it will move with the motion lever forward or back. The newer ones have a knob you pull up on to release the belt tension and then push the motion lever forward.

If the tractor mod# is 1-7251 same is a 1970 charger 12 or possibly a 70 electro 12(same as a charger 12 except has a 12v electric pto clutch)release & raise seat,on top of manifold on rear of hydro pump is a stub shaft with a roll pin thru it to form a T handle(tow valve)rotate stub shaft 1/4-1/2 turn this should allow transaxle to free wheel and tractor can be pushed by hand,there may also be a label close to same telling how to operate tow valve,but sometimes with age they fall off.
